The National Weather Service's forecast for the region calls for a series of storms over the next several days that will bring heavy mountain snowfall and "a prolonged rain event" across the region. The National Weather Service's Storm Prediction Center has outlined an enhanced risk of severe weather for parts of the Mid-Mississippi River and Lower Ohio River Valleys on Tuesday (2/28).
